In the summer of 2007, we created two impactful murals through a youth summer art employment project.

The first mural, located on Royal York on the side of a small business explores the theme of industrialization versus local interests. It is divided into three sections representing the past, present, and future. Early settlers plant a tree in the past, the tree grows amid industrial forces in the present, and in the future, the tree overtakes crumbling buildings, symbolizing hope for small communities.

The second mural, on the back of Storefront Humber addresses women's rights and violence against women. Depicting significant life stages, each panel features an element—fire, water, earth, and air—alongside silhouettes that convey the internal emotions of each stage, emphasizing resilience and solidarity.
