In the summer of 2007, I led my first large-scale project, working with the Student Artists of the Lakeshore Area to create a mural on the wall of the Franklin Horner Community Centre. This centre has been a cornerstone for the Etobicoke community for over 30 years, serving people of all ages.

Our mural's theme was growth and transformation, highlighting the relationship between humanity and nature. This concept resonated with the community, reflecting the diverse age range the center serves. The youth artists consulted with community members and stakeholders to create an uplifting and vibrant design.

Over 17 years later, the mural still stands, shining brightly and bringing joy to the neighborhood. Last checked in the summer of 2024, it remains a testament to the collaborative spirit and creativity of Etobicoke.
